MEDICARE rebate
At C&FP, clients who have a submitted GP Mental Health Care Plan are eligible for a Medicare rebate.
Under the Medicare scheme, clients can receive a rebate for up to 10 treatment sessions per calendar year. The current Medicare rebate for a session with a Clinical Psychologist is $141.85 for a session lasting 50 minutes or more, effective from July 1st, 2024.
NSW Workcover
At C&FP, as a clinical psychologist, I can assist clients with an approved WorkCover claim and a Certificate of Capacity from their doctor (GP or specialist).
Before beginning treatment under NSW WorkCover, SIRA WorkCover must approve your claim.
Once your claim is approved, I am required to report back to your insurer regarding the assessment of your condition and the progress of your treatment. Your insurer will have access to the information collected during your assessment and treatment.
If you are experiencing general stress or mental health issues unrelated to your job, your employer may offer employee counselling through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). You can check with your employer to determine whether your organisation covers this service. I am also able to provide EAP services.
